Would it really be so difficult to give envelopes and stamps a better taste? Really? In the hundreds of years since we've been using envelopes and stamps, they couldn't come up with a way to make them taste a little less like ass, and a little more like--say--chocolate?

Good point, anonymous! Oh well, can't hurt a kid to eat some paper and glue...right? LOL!
ummm... they make sticker stamps and evelopes so you don't have to lick them any more,,, because we Americans are such germ-o-phobes
I haven't put my tongue on a stamp or envelope since 9/11. I use tape and pre-stickied stamps. My husband who rarely mails anything was stumped by the stamps and whined.
